Prachi Desai was born on 12th September 1988 in Surat, Gujarat, India. Prachi’s father was involved in theater. Her mother is Ameeta Desai. Part of her school years were spent in Surat and part of it at St Joseph Convent in Panchgani.  She studied at the Sinhgad College of Arts, Science & Commerce in Pune.

Prachi Desai is an Indian film actress who appears in Bollywood movies and is best known for her role as Bani Walia in the Hindi television drama Kasamh Se which aired on Zee TV. Prachi is the endorser, spokesperson, brand ambassador and the face of Neutrogena products in India. She had just turned 17 when her career began on Kasamh Se and left her studies for a while.  She has also starred in her first movie Rock On !! which was released on August 29, 2008 and Farhan Akhtar as her co-star. Prachi Desai was awarded the Dancing star of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 2. Recently she starred opposite Emran Hashmi in the movie ‘Once upon a time in Mumbai’.
